Terms & Conditions

1. TENNIS ATTIRE

a) No black soled shoes are permitted on the tennis courts
b) Non marking shoes should be worn at all times
c) No jeans or sandals will be permitted on the tennis courts
d) Water bottles, sunscreen and caps are advisable
e) For training at schools, players are advised to wear their sports (phys ed.) uniform
f) It is preferable for players to have their own equipment. When racquets are left at home, spare/demo racquets will be made available
g) All necessary equipment may be ordered through an ATA coach or bought directly from the pro shop (ATA Sports) at Table View Tennis Club. For customers ordering equipment through an ATA coach, proof of payment will need to be received by the coach before goods are handed over. Payments for equipment need to made in the following bank account:

2. PAYMENTS

a) Monthly Fees (private lessons only) are payable in advance before the 7th of each month
b) Invoices are issued on request where amounts change each month or term. Most invoicing is done via email
c) All group programmes, whether at school or club is charged termly. Termly accounts are due in the first week of the term.
d) All private and semi-private lessons are charged monthly/annually
e) Payments for group or private coaching must be made via EFT or bank deposit into the following bank account:

g) Please contact Candace on 072 274 8640 if any alternative arrangements need to be made. NO PAY NO PLAY.
h) If you choose to pay the coach, please insist on a receipt.
i) For private lesson training, Proof of Payment must be faxed to 086 511 0159 or emailed to info@atlantictennisacademy.co.za or sms ‘ed to 072 274 8640 by the 7th of each month
j) Termination of account is subject to one calendar month’s written notice and payment thereof.
k) Interest will be charged at 10% per month on late accounts
l) For tournaments and holiday clinics, clients will be advised on the payment procedure.

3. COSTS

Please consult your ATA coach for the most recent coaching fees.
FEES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT THE DISCRETION OF ATA AT ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

4. NUMBER OF LESSONS

When there is school there is tennis. We guarantee a minimum of 8 group lessons per term.
Number of private lessons per month/term/year will be dependent on the arrangement made between the client and the ATA coach involved.

5. CREDITS

a) No credits are carried forward to the following term or year for any lessons missed
b) Credit must be made up within the calendar term or year that lessons are taken and paid for
c) NO REFUNDS are given for lessons missed
d) Credits must be used in the same category of lesson type i.e. If group lessons are missed then they must be made up with group lessons.

6. CANCELLATION/MAKE UP OF LESSONS

a) For private lessons, make-up lessons will be offered as long as cancellation notice by the client is given in advance (minimum 24hrs) to their ATA coach
b) If cancellation notice by the client for private lessons is not done via email, phone call or sms in advance with your ATA coach, no make-ups will be offered
c) Make-up lessons for group lessons will be offered when possible as all numbers are limited in lessons. i.e. Make up lessons are not guaranteed
d) In the event of rain on a training day, group lessons will be held indoors where all necessary theory will be discussed. This is essential knowledge to assist in the client’s learning experience. Private lessons will either be rescheduled/made-up or held indoors if it’s raining.
Failure to attend any indoor lesson without notice will result in no make-up lesson being offered. (See clause 4a). If it starts raining during a group lesson, junior clients will move indoors for theory whilst any adult group lessons will be forfeited. Where possible, rained out group lessons are attempted to be made up by the ATA coach.
e) Parents of junior clients will forfeit the lesson if they withdraw their child for whatever reason (too hot, windy, raining etc.) without giving 24hrs notice with the ATA coach
f) Lessons that are cancelled by ATA will be made-up. Please note that this only occurs in the event of a serious matter where the coach or back up coach is unable to attend. It is not our policy to cancel lessons

7. TERMINATION OF CONTRACT

Termination of the contract is subject to one calendar month’s written notice via fax or email and payment thereof. A sms is not accepted as a form of notice of withdrawal.

8. HOW TO REGISTER – NEW CLIENTS

a) Book a free trial group lesson with your appointed ATA coach. This only applies to group lessons.
b) If you are satisfied, complete registration form, sign terms and conditions form and submit to your ATA coach or fax to 086 511 0159
c) The trial group lesson becomes the 1st lesson and payment is now due before the next lesson
d) Proof of payment must be sent to info@atlantictennisacademy.co.za
or faxed to 086 511 0159 before the 2nd group lesson

9. REGISTRATION – EXISTING CLIENTS

a) Complete registration form, sign terms and conditions form and submit to your ATA coach or fax to 086 511 0159
b) Payment is due from the 1st group lesson
e) Proof of Payment must be sent to before the info@atlantictennisacademy.co.za
or faxed to 086 511 0159 2nd lesson

10. LIABILITY

While the Atlantic Tennis Academy takes every precaution to ensure your child’s safety, we cannot be held liable for any loss or injury sustained

11. INJURIES

a) In the event of an injury during a lesson or during a month, that month’s fees will be due and the lessons missed will be made up provided that your ATA coach is notified immediately
b) If a client is injured during a lesson, that lesson will be forfeited
c) No refunds are issued for lessons missed

12. COMMUNICATION

This is done via email in the form of newsletters. It is essential that these are read. Please provide your ATA coach with the relevant email address for the person involved with the tennis. Please notify your ATA coach if the emails are not received. There are many parents that we never see and this is the only way we can communicate effectively.

Sms’s are also used to send information and reminders. In the instance where you do not have an email address please pick up a copy of the newsletter from your ATA coach or consult the notice board at your school or at Table View Tennis Club

All information received by the Atlantic Tennis Academy will be confidential and will only be used by ourselves for any marketing or communication purposes.

For all other matters phone calls are preferred especially when something needs to be discussed. All ATA coaches are encouraged not to answer their phones during training (are exceptions however), so please send a sms or leave a voice message if you are unable to reach him/her. ATA’s core training times are from 1pm – 6/7pm so please try contact us before then.

13. ACCEPTANCE

By submitting the ATA registration form you agree to all the rules and conditions as set out by the Atlantic Tennis Academy. You do not, under any circumstances hold the Atlantic Tennis Academy or any employees of the same; responsible for any disposition, injury or loss that may be incurred by me/my child/my children during such time that the said person/s is under the instruction of the Atlantic Tennis Academy or any employees thereof.
